Mizzou Online distance learning programs are part of the University of Missouri, which is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The University of Missouri High School is accredited by AdvancED and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI).

In addition, most core distance learning courses offered by MU High School have been approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association for establishing initial-eligibility certification of student-athletes.
