How do I enable JavaScript on my Web browser?
Enabling JavaScript differs based on which Web browser you are using to access your course. The instructions below apply to the Web browsers recommended for this course.
Internet Explorer 7
- Select Tools from the top menu bar of your browser.
- Choose Internet Options.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Click on the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to the section on "Scripting."
- Select Enable under Active scripting and Scripting of Java applets.
- Click OK and, if asked, approve or confirm your change.
- Reload the page.
Internet Explorer 6
- Select Tools from the top menu bar of your browser.
- Choose Internet Options.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Click on the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to the section on "Scripting."
- Under Active Scripting, select Enable and click OK.
- Reload the page.
Firefox 3 or 3.5
- Select Tools from the top menu bar of your browser (on Mac OS this is "Firefox").
- Choose Options (on Mac OS this is "Preferences").
- Click on the Content tab.
- Check the box labeled "Enable JavaScript."
- Click OK.
- Reload the page.
Safari 4
- Select Safari from the top menu bar of your browser (on Windows this is "Edit").
- Choose Preferences.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Check the box labeled "Enable JavaScript."
- Close the Preferences window.
- Reload the page.
