Catalog Description: Contribution of career development theory to choice of career and/or major. Exploration of personal and social determinants of career choice. This course will help college students clarify interests, abilities, and work-related values and teach the skills necessary to make career decisions that will be the best fit. Students will learn the skills necessary to research occupations and gain experience. Finally, they will develop the skills to pursue careers through resume writing and interviewing. This course will not tell students which major or career path to pursue; rather it will teach them the skills needed to make a satisfying decision. All lessons are graded by trained career planning professionals to give students helpful and informed feedback.
Time Limit for Course Completion: 9 months. All assessments must be submitted and graded within this time.
