Examinations

You are required to take two formal, supervised examinations for this course. The midterm exam follows Lesson 5, and the final exam follows Lesson 10. Each exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions worth 3 points each, 5 short-answer questions worth 10 points each, and three essay questions worth 30 points each, for a total of 200 points.

Exam announcement pages provide more detailed descriptions of the midterm and final exams. You should preview these pages before beginning work on the course. You are responsible for scheduling your examinations. Allow enough time for the Center to receive your request and mail the exam to the supervisor.

In order to pass the course, you must earn a minimum of 240 points (60 percent) on the two exams combined.

For more information about scheduling your exams and the Center’s exam policies, see the Guidelines.
