Midterm Exam Information

After you have completed the Lesson 5 Progress Evaluation and received your score, you should apply to take the first examination. You may
request an exam over the Web, but the examination itself may not be taken online.

For more information about scheduling your exams, see the Center's Guidelines.

Exam Format

The midterm exam will be instructor-evaluated. It will consist of 20 multiple-choice questions worth 3 points each, 5 short-answer questions worth 10 points each, and three essay questions worth 30 points each, for a total of 200 points. It covers material from Lessons 1–5.

You may not use your textbook, commentaries, notes, or other outside resources during the exam. Exam questions will be similar in style, but not identical, to the progress evaluations.
