This course is designed for students who have not previously studied French. Through the use of CDs, textbook, and workbook, you will learn basic French as it is typically taught for beginning students. By using the CDs and lesson commentaries, you will be able to take advantage of available technology. The lessons provide a variety of activities and evaluations to help you learn the material, to encourage you to practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking French, and to give you insight into the language and culture of the Francophone world.
