American Literature, One Half Unit

This course explores American literary themes about the relationships between individuals and their peers, their families, and society as a whole. Through critical reading of several novels and plays, students examine the conflicts that arise between oppressive social constructs and individuals who refuse to conform to them.

Gifted: This course is academically challenging. Any student who has an interest in the subject and has met the prerequisites (if any), may enroll.
