Description: Recognizing the epidemic of increased stress among youth in today's classroom, this course is an introduction to the mental health challenges of all elementary and secondary students. The focus of the course is on prevention of real classroom concerns, such as recognizing the behavioral symptoms of poor self-concepts, anger, family problems, ADHD and bullying. The course will enable the professional the opportunity to apply practical and effective strategies for helping students be successful members of the school.
