Description: This course covers the basics of black and white photography, including the technical processes and equipment used. In addition to learning how to take pictures, develop film, and print photographs, students learn to critically evaluate photographs. Access to a 35mm camera with manual controls is required, and students are responsible for shooting a roll of film and having it commercially developed for submission as part of their assignment.  

Gifted: This course is academically challenging. Any student who has an interest in the subject and has met the prerequisites (if any), may enroll.


Special Instructions: This course includes a printed study guide. Please note that because of the nature of this course, you should allow at least six months to complete it.
