Description: This course was developed in an effort to make government officials, planning commissioners, and the public aware of the importance of comprehensive planning as a function of local government. The course covers such subjects as the legal foundation of planning, zoning, and subdividing land; planning techniques; capital improvement programming; and plan implementation. Everyone who completes this course receives a certificate signed by the Chancellor of the University of Missouri.
