Description: This course is designed to provide an understanding of basic economic concepts associated with labor and its supply and demand to those interested in the field of labor economics. The course provides a basic microeconomic and macroeconomic overview of economic systems, the laws of supply and demand, specialization and exchange, and how those theories affect the labor market. We will also discuss issues of income and wealth disparity and their measurements, as well as concepts of efficiency and equity and how they relate to labor market decisions.
